Abstract
Purpose: This study was a secondary data analysis to investigate the relationship between subjective body weight perception and various health factors, including health behaviors among Korean adolescents.

Methods: Data collection is a total of 519 adolescents aged 12 to 18 who responded to perceptional weight status. The collected data were analyzed using the complex sample analysis module using PASW 18.0 program. The survey consisted of general characteristics, weight control-related items, subjective health status, health behaviors, and perceptional weight status.

Results: Females were more likely to be overweight than males (OR: 1.72, 95% CI: 1.12-2.65). The perceptional overweight in the group trying to lose weight was high in weight control efforts (OR: 5.44, 95% CI: 3.24-9.13), and those who answered very good / good perceived low overweight in subjective health status (OR: 0.31, 95% CI: 0.19-0.51). The lower the average daily sleep t ime during the week, the higher the recognition of overweight (OR: 2.14, 95% CI: 0.18-3.89). The group with high stress perception had a higher percentage o f overweight (OR: 1.47, 9 5% C I: 1 .01-2.14).

Conclusion: This study confirmed the relationship between subjective body weight perception and various health factors of adolescents and identified the importance of proper weight status of adolescents.
